Common pitfalls
FAQ
Why use the embassy rather than the e-Visa?
For EB or ER visas before departure, or if your nationality is not eligible for the e-Visa. For a simple tourist visa, the e-Visa is more practical.
Can documents be sent by post?
Yes, with a prepaid return envelope. Allow 7–10 business days. Confirm the procedure with the embassy before sending.
How far in advance should I apply?
At least 10 business days before departure to be comfortable. In an emergency, an express application is sometimes possible by appointment.
Does the embassy issue annual EB long-stay visas?
Yes, but the visa is an initial 30-day entry visa. Annual renewal is then handled in Cambodia via immigration or an authorised agent.
