Pronunciation: khân
Urban administrative district in Cambodia. It sits between Sangkat (neighbourhood) and Krong (city). Phnom Penh is divided into 14 Khan, each comprising several Sangkat.
Procedures that require a Khan stamp (e.g. certain attestations) are rare for an expat — most are handled at Sangkat level or directly at the relevant central administration.
