Allianz Care
Health insurance
Allianz Care is the international health division of the German Allianz SE group (world's second-largest insurer with around EUR 150 bn in revenue, AA rating at S&P), historically operated from Dublin (Ireland) under the Allianz Worldwide Care brand, renamed Allianz Care in 2019. The company distributes international health plans for expats in more than 190 countries and is one of the three global premium players in the expat health market alongside AXA Global Healthcare and Cigna Global. In Cambodia, Allianz Care is regularly recommended by the French, German and British embassies in their official lists of health insurers for long-stay residents. The range is built around four progressive levels (Core, Plus, Premium, Prestige), to which optional modules are added (outpatient, dental, optical, maternity, complementary medicine, repatriation+). For French-speaking expats, Allianz Care is one of the few premium companies to offer a genuinely bilingual experience: policy terms available in French, multilingual app, and French-speaking advisers on request (based in Dublin and Paris). Allianz's strengths are: (1) genuinely worldwide cover with a direct cashless network in all major Asian international hospitals (Royal Phnom Penh, Sunrise Japan, Raffles, Bumrungrad, Bangkok Hospital, Mount Elizabeth, Raffles Singapore), (2) the strength of the group and the long-term durability of the contract, (3) the quality of major claims handling (cancer, chronic illnesses), (4) integrated Doctor Please teleconsultation. Typical rates in Cambodia: USD 3,500–9,000 / adult / year depending on plan and zone — premium segment, to be compared with AXA Global Healthcare and Cigna Global before choosing.
